What do we do?

Raleigh Acts of Kindness brings together volunteers to assemble craft kits and hands-on activities so young patients can experience the joy of giving.

Every Raleigh Acts of Kindness consists of two parts. The first part explores the idea of generosity and the science and art of volunteering. In the second part, volunteers assemble arts and craft kits.

The value of the art kits lies in their uniqueness and intention of the person who assembles them.  The kits aim to provide meaningful experiences, opportunities to experience art, express the power of creativity, and share with others -since the projects involve making something for someone else.

Visit to the Ronald McDonald House

We are always happy to bring our love donations to the Ronald McDonald House. We meet to put together craft kits for children with the goal of providing children with meaningful experiences.

One of our projects is "Beading Buds". We consider beading a fun creative process that allows children and youth to build something unique using their own hands. Beading has also other benefits such as enhancing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, extending attention span and giving a sense of accomplishment and pride in the work completed.
